Over 2,800 participants evaluated goals using willpower or commitment strategies, with the latter judged less trustworthy. Public use of commitment strategies faces hesitance due to perceived weaknesses.

Researchers are working quickly to develop treatments to prevent or reduce idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF) and associated lung disorders, which can cause severe shortness of breath, dry cough, and intense exhaustion.
